2016 February Conference

The program for the 2016 February Conference is very exciting. There are many workshops that focus on a detailed unpacking of the new Unit 1 & 2 courses and that present interesting teaching and learning ideas for the new content as well as the familiar content. There are also a number of new workshops specific to the current Unit 3 & 4 Study Design, where different approaches to the key knowledge and skills and new teaching and learning ideas will be showcased. One of the highlights of the annual conference, consistently reported by teachers, is the opportunity to hear about VCE Psychology directly from the VCAA personnel involved in overseeing our subject. The 2016 conference is no exception. Teachers will have the opportunity to hear about the implications of the new Study Design for Units 3 & 4 (to be implemented in 2017) from VCAA personnel. Importantly, there will be an opportunity to ask those burning questions of VCAA personnel during the ‘VCAA Update’. VCAA personnel have also committed to be at the conference all day, so there will be many opportunities to chat with them informally throughout the day.
